Room 23 and Room 17 (Buddy class) making Fry Bread.

We celebrated the end of "Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori" with the support and help from Whaea Trudi to make Fry Bread. Both classes were divided into two groups. One group enjoyed the activities organised by Mr. Greenfield (Buddy Class Teacher) and the other group prepared the Fry Bread with Whaea Trudi and me. Thank you Whaea for your support because both classes enjoyed the experience.

  1. What I like about making the Fry bread with Room 17 is the dough because it feels like your touching slime or something that is gooey. When it was cooked it was yummy.

  3. Last week Room 23 and Room 17 were making Maori bread. I was setting up with my friend Marcus while the others were making maori bread. We were folding clothes and putting milk on the table. We were splited into 3 groups a group who were playing games while waiting, a group who were setting up, and a group who were cooking. When the Maori bread was reading I quickly ran outside and had a big MUNCH!! And ate it all up. When it was all gone I just realized that some kids were having two breads I ran inside to get one more turns out it was all gone so I just drank some milk.

  4. My experience at the celebration of the end of Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori was very entertaining and fun because we all get together. What we did was some were playing Tapu with Room 7 and some were baking Maori Fried Bread with Room 17. We had fun playing Tapu with Room 17 and at the end we had some delicious Fried bread.

  6. I remember the feeling when I was mixing the flour with water and milk and it felt gross that wasn't any type of bread it was Whaia Trudy's grandma's recipe. and also when we ate I regretted putting golden syrup on it.
