Kia Ora and Malo e lelei. Welcome to Room 7's Class Blog. We are a class of Year 5 and 6 students. This is a place where we share our Learning Journey. Our school-wide theme this year is - Not all Superheroes Wear Capes! Our blogs are a collection of questions, ideas, learning in progress and finished work. We would love you to leave comments to help us to improve our Learning. Malo Γ‘upito.

ReplyDeleteLiquefaction takes place when loosely packed, water-logged sediments at or near the ground surface lose their strength in response to strong ground shaking. Liquefaction occurring beneath buildings and other structures can cause major damage during earthquakes.
ReplyDeleteBLOG YA LATERππ
What is liquefaction min it min a earthquake and the ground turn into liquid.
ReplyDeleteLiquefaction is a phenomenon in which the strength and stiffness of a soil is reduced by earthquake shaking or other rapid loading. Liquefaction and related phenomena have been responsible for tremendous amounts of damage in historical earthquakes around the world.
ReplyDeleteliquefaction has many effects to many things. like a building the liquefaction will make the ground like mud then the building will sink, and eventually collapse at first you wont see it. But soon you will because the liquefation causes instability and it will fall thats all I have to say blog ya later.
ReplyDeleteLiquefaction is made out of Poorly drained fine-grained soils such as sandy, silty.
ReplyDeleteSo Liquefaction is something that causes damage to buildings.
Liquefaction is when a peace of dried soil such as the floor shakes and then it turns into mud.
ReplyDeleteKia Ora what is Liquefaction. Liquefaction is a rocks it when it moves very fast it turns into luiqued.Liquefaction takes place when loosely packed, water-logged sediments at or near the ground surface lose their strength in response to strong ground shaking.
ReplyDeleteI learn that Liquefaction takes place when loosely packed, water-logged sediments at or near the ground surface lose their strength in response to strong ground shaking. Liquefaction occurring beneath buildings and other structures can cause major damage during earthquakes.
ReplyDeleteTalofa lava. liquefaction is like oobleck because when you punch oobleck it is hard but then when you put it on your hand it turns into a liquid and just poors throw your fingers and liquefaction is when earthquakes make the ground shake and all the little bits of oily sand turn in to liquid well been shaken and then turns into a liquefaction.π€―π€―

ReplyDeleteLiquefaction is solid that if you move it around it will turn in to liquid.
ReplyDeleteLiquefaction is a solid that turns into liquid. It is made out of poorly drained- fine grained soils stuff like sandy, silty. That means that Liquefaction is something that can cause damage to buildings, houses.
ReplyDeleteI think liquefaction is a material kind of like a slimy material and whenever it shakes the slimy part of it turns into liquid. That is what its causing the dirty mud in the ground.
ReplyDeleteA liquefaction is when a earthquake causes soil to turn into liquid by shaking the ground under the soil. It happens under buildings which will Be incredibly dangerous and will destroy buildings. Blog ya later!!!
ReplyDeleteLiquefaction is liquid and soil. The thing what causes liquefaction is when vibrations or water pressure within a mass of soil.
ReplyDeleteHello, Manogi here. liquefaction is caused by vibrations or water pressure within a mass of soil. Liquefaction can also be caused by massive earthquakes. Sometimes a liquefaction can be dangerous, Liquefaction can take down buildings and build up in your yard. Liquefaction is like a subsistence called oobleck, oobleck is a solid when you punch it or hit it, and its a liquid when you slid your hand in or just put it in your hand. But instead of liquefaction being a liquid when your careful with it needs a lot of vibration.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Good bye.
