Road Safety Week is about encouraging families to think about how they can help everyone have safe and active journeys to and from school. Parking away from the school and walking in helps keep the area outside the school safer for students. Walking, biking and scootering is a great way to add exercise into your week! Please remember to use the crossings, it may take an extra minute or two but it is another way we can help you to stay safe.

Kia Ora everyone. As you know it's Road safety week and today I walked to school using the pedestrian crossing. If you don't know what pedestrian crossing is, it's something where you have these big long signs where it says stop all the way at the end and when they open them the people can cross and it's a much safer way than crossing the road when the cars are driving because if you cross the road while the cars are driving, you could possibly get hurt and have a Injury.
ReplyDeleteKia oar road patrol is a week everyone must be on the road carefully.
ReplyDeleteHi, I think the importance of Road-Safety is that if we need to cross the road we stop, look and listen. When the cars stop you should say thank you to the driver that stopped, or wave your hand at them.
ReplyDeleteIf you are on a bike you should always be wearing a helmet and safety equipment.
