Our first Garden to Table session this morning. What an amazing learning experience. Half of the class prepared our meal and the other half was out in the garden harvesting and tidying up the garden beds in preparation for the Winter planting.
I like the soup the most and I was in the kitchen group. Me, Fila and Norman were making the pumpkin scones, the outside was crunchy but the inside was soft.

Garden To Table was very fun and exciting for me even tho I have done Garden To Table before. I had fun doing the gardening because we got to pull out some weeds and we got to try some fruit and veggies from the gardens, it was really fresh. Next time my Class does Garden To Table my group will be cooking in the kitchen. I also loved the food we had at Garden To Table, I loved the feijoa cakes and the veggie soup that the other group made I am very excited for Garden To Table next week. Taylah
Hello room 23 it's Marcus. At Garden to table we did a lot of things. I enjoyed every single bit that we did at garden to table. I hope the gardener's enjoyed it too. We got to taste the DELICIOUS food that we made at garden to table when I first saw the food cooked my mouth started to water. This was so much fun. Thank you room 23 for reading my comment.;)
I really liked doing garden to and I maked the the chunky vegetable soup and my favourite thing was th e feijoa cakes and the pumpkin scone the most and it was a really good experience doing garden to table the first week of the term and we enjoyed it a lot.
In the garden we feel like garden we also tasted some of the vegetable some were spicy and some were sweat we also pull out all the weed so the plants can grow and we toke all the tomato of.
On Wednesday 1st of May me and my class went to garden to table, some of us were cooking and some were Gardening. the first thing that we did, was we went to a garden that had carrot and radish, we had To pull one of the plants, we all got radish and then we went to go wash It In water then we got To have a quick taste, It looked like some of us hated it It was very spicy. so then we all went to the chickens and give It to them but they were not Interested we came back, then we went tot the shed and got some gloves. we all walked over to the beehive and had a looked at the pumpkin and the Feijoa, then we all walked down at looked at the tomatoes and we were getting some tomatoes for ms tuipulotu and for the worms.then we went back and we played a game and then it was time to eat. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!!! THANK YOU GARDEN TO TABLE !!
I loved Harvesting the tomato, pulling them out and eating some. They were like the taste of sweet rainbows and learning plant species that I have seen but I forgot them and seeing some feijoa fruits and also when we were looking at plant species we found beans. They were so yum and fresh as a really healthy one. It was sweet then when we were going on our way to the hub I think? I dropped the sweet bean I was a little sad but not too much. And I also ate one feijoa fruit when we talked about it and I ate a good one and slowly nibbling on it. and the last place we went was the tomatos Ms tuipulotu just took some tomato actually a lot like 13-14 and she said "I'll take them home and eat them" or like cook them for food I don't know. So we went back inside the hub and took of our gloves and played infinite tag after back to garden to tables entrance and went in and play somakalo and guess what I was the first.... To be out and the winner was S E F I T A yes it was Sefita and we played again and the the teachers said time for food and the foods were awsome and so good and guess what we had feijoa muffins it was so sweet like the best muffin I have seen but not the best actually and we were eating still not all done and the bell rang and we went to clean our dishes and forks and cups and put it on the window with no glass so we put there and we said bye to the garden to table teachers.
